Figures from the Office for National Statistics show that, in the UK alone, there were a total of 4,382 UK suicides in 2017. That’s an extremely upsetting situation.

Thankfully, there is plenty of brilliant work going on to help those suffering, as well as help change the stigma of male mental health.

One of the organisations at the forefront of this movement is CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably).

Formed in 2006, CALM provide a free, 7-day, confidential hotline for those who need to talk about any of life’s problems.

Through support networks in workplaces, universities, clubs, pubs and prisons, CALM are, in their own words, helping “people feel empowered to share their experiences and get the help they need before they reach the point of crisis”.

And, just like us, they also believe in challenging the traditional, outdated notions of masculinity and male stereotypes.

That’s why we’re extremely proud to have them as our chosen UK charity.

Because, with a percentage of MESOA’s profits going directly to CALM, when you make a purchase – you make a difference, too.
